Following months of supposition, the NOMINEES for HJ’s coveted
British Hairdresser of the Year title have been announced.

Here are the 9 hairdressing nominees:

DARREN AMBROSE,
SALLY BROOKS,
ERROL DOUGLAS MBE,
ROBERT EATON, 
GARY HOOKER & MICHAEL YOUNG,
ADAM READ,
COS SAKKAS, 
ANGELO SEMINARA,
EUGENE SOULEIMAN.

Nominated by their peers on their professional reputation,
vision and trend setting skills as well as their ability to promote and
be an ambassador for British hairdressing across the globe.

Representative collection of their work will be judged
in September 2019 by up to 100 of their peers
along with hair and beauty journalists and influencers.

The winner will be revealed on 25th November 2019
at the Grosvenor House Hotel, a JW Marriott Hotel.

INTERCOIFFURE MONDIAL, International Hairdressing Organization,
is preparing a BIG SHOW on 1st and 2nd June 2019 in Paris.

The Saturday 1st June afternoon program features top World Academy
talent and the groundbreaking debut of Intercoiffure’s TRENDblast
hair video competition where nine finalists will compete
for top honors live on stage. 
On the evening will take place a Gala and Night of the Stars that
includes the prestigious Chavalerie Awards Ceremony followed
by very special shows from the Fondation Guillaume and
Intercoiffure Sections from Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile and Japan.

On Sunday 2nd June the highlights will continue with seminars
featuring intensive look and learn sessions hand-picked
from across Intercoiffure’s Barber, COLOUR STAR,
Young Entrepreneur and the “I’m Getting Trained in Paris” curriculum.

INTERCOIFFURE MONDIAL, International Hairdressing Organization 
with more than 3.000 Top Salons in 55 countries, launches a
NEW HAIR VIDEO COMPETITION called TRENBLAST.

TRENDBLAST is open to any Intercoiffure member or
any licensed hairdresser (stylist or colorist) currently
working in an Intercoiffure salon. 
Basing on three Intercoiffure Trend (Eclectica, Urban Zen & Quest), 
competitors from all around the world developed their
CREATIVE INTERPRETATION into a final BEAUTIFUL,
INSPIRING and WEARABLE HAIR LOOK.

Once perfected, the next level of CREATIVITY was to capture
their FINAL HAIR LOOK in a one minute video submission.

These videos were judge by seven International Judges:

– Yoshihiro Tsumura – Japan 
– Rolf Firniss – Germany
– Margaret MacDonald – Italy 
– Yusuke Moriya – Japan
– Sergi Bancells – USA 
– Jefferson Stevanato – Brazil

After the judges’ deliberation, Intercoiffure Mondial announces
the nine finalists that are going to perform on stage in front
of an international audience on June 1st 2019.

“LOOKMAKER ACADEMY”, oltre a essere un’Accademia
dove studiano e si diplomano i futuri Lookmaker,
è un TALENT televisivo prossimamente
sul digitale terrestre nazionale dove
gli HAIRSTYLISTS danno dimostrazione al pubblico
ed a una giuria di esperti del proprio “TALENTO”,
non solo per quanto riguarda i Capelli, ma anche
nella realizzazione di un Total Look.

Nel talent, una serie di prove pratiche metteranno
in COMPETIZIONE i migliori HAIR STYLIST,
MAKE UP ARTIST ed ESTETISTE per guadagnarsi
il TITOLO di miglior Lookmaker italiano
e il premio del valore di 100.000 Euro.

L’Accademia “LOOKMAKER ACADEMY”, main sponsor del talent,
forma invece nuovi Lookmaker che PREPARA AD ENTRARE 
nel mondo di questa nuova ed entusiasmante professione.

GLOBElife.tv (n.1° al mondo nell’hairstyling) seguirà le fasi dei Casting
del talent pubblicando NEWS e INFORMAZIONI oltre che in
internet (su gossip.sm) anche sulle
riviste specialistiche del settore Capelli.

Novità di questa edizione è una giuria estremamente qualificata
con la partecipazione di personaggi dello spettacolo.
Nel FORMAT non ci sarà limite alla CREATIVITÀ,
nessuno schema prestabilito per realizzare un vero total look.

E naturalmente durante le riprese emergeranno,
a cominciare dal backstage, emozioni e paure
dei talenti in gara che VALORIZZERANNO la loro tenacia
e la capacità di gestire non solo un Salone,
ma anche UN PALCOSCENICO TELEVISIVO.

EGIDIO BORRI, noto hairstylist di Arezzo creativo e spontaneo,
proprietario di quindici saloni in Toscana tra cui
lo storico salone di Montevarchi (AREZZO),
ha partecipato al PRIMO EVENTO INTERNAZIONALE
organizzato da WELLA: il Front Row Professional,
nella splendida cornice di Rodi.

Front Row Professional è il PRIMO EVENTO INTERNAZIONALE 
organizzato da Wella  dedicato agli APPASSIONATI DELLA BELLEZZA.
L’EVENTO, che si è svolto nella meravigliosa cornice dell’isola di Rodi,
si è svolto dal 5 al 7 maggio e ha visto riuniti i Migliori parrucchieri,
nail e make up artist, combinando show, seminari e masterclass.

dell’estetica popolare, attraverso gli strumenti delle nuove tecnologie.

I candidati del CONCORSO per Fashion Designer dovranno coniugare
le TRADIZIONI POPOLARI alle esigenze della modernità,
usando accostamenti di materiali e colori, dando importanza
anche alla sostenibilità nei processi creativi e produttivi.
Sullo stesso tema dovranno confrontarsi i candidati
al CONCORSO per Cortometraggi.
