DANILO GIANGRECO – UK❤️  IKIGAI Collection (4 photos)

The inspiration for this collection came while I was reading the book “Ikigai”. It is a Japanese ancient philosophy that roughly translates to “reason for being” or “a purpose in life”. It is the intersection of a few important elements of life: what you love and makes you happy, what you’re good at, what you can be paid for. The idea is that you can find something that satisfies all these elements, to find a deep sense of fulfillment and happiness. That’s what I explored in this collection, playing with hair while creating shapes and textures is what really excites me.

HEFFY WHEELER – UK❤️  Grunge Collection (9 photos)

Inspired by my youth, teen rebellion, and the alternative scene in the 2006, when I would be in my bedroom with my friends at 15 years old diy colouring our hair. Gloomy, angst and unapologetic, my collection captures the essence of this important and defining stage of my life, a reflection of the vibe of the people I would see in the queue for the local rock show, that is all so relevant now when fashion continues to take and rework elements from this time frame.

LAURA CHADWICK – UK❤️  EMOTIVE HAIR Collection (4 photos)

Emotive Hair: A Beauty Photo Series by Elisabeth Hoff and Laura Chadwick

In this photo series, photographer, Elisabeth Hoff and hair stylist, Laura Chadwick explore the connection between hair and human emotion, attempting to capture the essence of Joy, Sorrow, Anger, and Fear through intricate hairstyles. Shot in a London studio with an extraordinary team, this project brings to life the raw, unfiltered feelings that define our human experience. Psychologist Paul Ekman, renowned for his ground-breaking work on emotions, identified four base emotions: Joy, Sorrow, Anger, and Fear as fundamental to the human experience. According to Ekman, these emotions are universal, transcending cultural and social boundaries. These emotions, which are deeply rooted in our biology are essential for human survival.

JJ Savani – UK ❤️  ONE Collection (3 photos)

A collection created to showcase the core techniques, principles and shapes taught by JJ Savani. These classic looks are adapted to compliment the facial structure of each model whilst working with a variety of hair types.
For example, we braided the hair with cornrows whilst tapering the sides to create a strong and sharp shape up which is a style that will never go out of fashion.

Issey Hyde  – UK ❤️  Embellished Collection (3 photos)

I wanted to create Glamorous Holiday season looks with a high fashion influence to dazzle… I created wearable looks that could be worn in high society for a New Year’s Eve ball, reminiscent of guests at the world famous Met Gala event. I used a flat finger wave and bejewelled it with crystals and a Prada accessory, taking inspiration from the Prada Cleo handbag. I created a textured over-sized bun, and cinched it with a belt from Celine taking the designer belt trend a step further. I used golden feathers to adjourn an oversized French roll taking inspiration from the Schiaparelli golden feather coat. I wanted to capture the strength of the looks at different angles to show the details in design.

DES MURRAY –  UK ❤️  GRUNGE Collection (6 photos)

Welcome to the Grunge Club, where those on the outside, come in to be with their kindred spirits. To them, style is not just about rebelling, it’s being free to express individuality and live outside the accepted normalities. In this collection Des Murray uses dirty texture and irregular or uncomfortable shapes that reflect a life chosen on the outside. As with all his work, this collection features highly technical haircutting, creative styling and use of key wet products to create the finished look.

MIKELAH-JAYDE RILEY – UK❤️  POP! Collection (6 photos)

She said that the looks are commercial and salon-friendly although sometimes exaggerated,
but, with the colours capturing the witty, gimmicky fun of these eras.

The 60s sexual revolution allowed women to be less demure and more ‘out there’, so the POP! collection celebrates the emancipation of 60s women and the freedom of Australian women today.

They are for the girls who like to stand out in the crowd and be individuals, rather than
conforming to prior conservative tastes.  Those of the generations that went before them.

Social media and mainstream media women/influencers are quite likely to have these
attention-grabbing hairstyles for the sake of self-promotion.

High contrast and bold, even over-dramatic colours are the perfect
expression for these trailblazers.
