This collection was recognising what we have come to know over the past year. It’s about the memory of a lost loved one – blurry and faded but not forgotten. We wanted to produce a timeless collection that everyone can feel a part of, to recreate a memory that those who are lost can hold on to.

This collection was inspired by the technique – the smudge! The smudge is a technique I used, where I used sponges in order to apply and blend the colours, in order to give a wow effect. Imagine the light reflecting through a stained glass window and the offset of the colours – this is exactly what I wanted to encompass in the hair. I wanted people to look at this and think, how did she achieve that!

One hair colour trend that comes back on trend year after year in autumn/winter is copper coloured hair but for 2021 copper hair becomes more contemporary and we see metallic copper being one of the most highly requested hair colour looks of the season.
The key to this copper hue is that it has an extreme, mirror like shine, which adds to the intensity of the colour, whilst also giving it a luxurious and incredibly healthy appearance.
When it comes to achieving this colour in the salon, toning plays a huge role in helping create an intense copper shade and adding that reflective shine.

The collection is an allegory about hope and freedom, a hymn to the creative possibilities of the human being through hairdressing. A rebirth that is relived in each of the images as if it were a reality that is engendered, then matures and is reborn.
In Hope, hair is more symbolic than ever with the addition of meaningful words. Textures are also a motto that narrates the process of gestation and birth of a reality that does not believe in limits or fear, but explodes from life and hope. A passionate, emotional and creative worldview that tries to regain joy through hairdressing.
