As a stylist & colourist I’m always intrigued
by new shades and colours and when I
started exploring colours for Secondary
Spectrum, it was the oranges, purples and
greens that really captured my aDenEon.
The colours are the cornerstone of
inspiraEon for the whole look & feel of the
collecEon.
Researching the colours I was drawn to
where I could find these strong and bold
colours in nature; this led me to
incorporate nature’s shapes from purple
tulips to bird of paradise flowers into my
hairstyles.
I love how these flowers have strong
structures yet come across soM and
delicate in the different stages of their
blooming process.
I opted for intriguing styling that
complements my colour choices and
enhances the colour techniques I used to
create my shades.
I used baby lights, splices, root stretch and
ombre techniques to create very fashion
forward colour work which was
complemented by styling that manipulated
the natural flow of hair and movement
using waves, curls and twisEng.
Make up and styling were leM natural and
soM to form a neutral background for the
hair to shine through.
