| Firmato il decreto che regolamenta le apparecchiature estetiche |
| Ieri, 11 maggio 2011, il ministro Fazio ha posto l’ultima firma sul decreto interministeriale che approva definitivamente le schede tecniche per le apparecchiature dell’estetista (art. 10 legge 4 gennaio 1990 n.1). Finalmente con questo decreto gli estetisti e i loro clienti sapranno quali apparecchiature sono consentite nei centri estetici e soprattutto se ne conosceranno le caratteristiche tecniche imprescindibili, i modi di applicazione e le cautele d’uso. Quindi no a cavitazione e no a foto ringiovanimento. Sì a ultrasuoni ad alta frequenza, a laser e a luce pulsata per epilazione, a elettrodepilazione ad ago e a molte altre metodologie e apparecchiature. Ci saranno dei divieti molto importanti per le lampade abbronzanti, per esempio prima del trattamento il soggetto dovrà essere informato sugli effetti nocivi dell’esposizione a raggi UV. L’irradianza efficace eritemale degli apparecchi non dovrà inoltre essere superiore a 0,3 W/m2. |

| In memory of Joshua Galvin |
| In 1953 at the age of 15, Joshua began his hairdressing life in the Barratt Street College, which is now the London College of Fashion. He works all over the world pioneering new cuts and styling techniques and devised the very first manual of modern hair-cutting and was the inspiration and educator to many of today’s great hairdressers. But it was in the area of training and education that Joshua found his true calling and in 1986, Joshua Galvin Central Training began with just 15 students. In 1988, the first Academy in the East End of London was launched, and today there are over 1100 students in 5 training centres across London and Essex. In 1983 Joshua became involved with the first Alternative Hair Show, in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. His dedication and support were relentless and he only ever missed one show. Joshua was a master of his craft the dapper gentleman of hairdressing. His activity within the industry shows his elite status and personal interest in spotting and developing talent, in short his dedication to hair. He has been a central figure in shaping the hairdressing industry worldwide in an illustrious career that has spanned over 50 years. He will be greatly missed but NEVER forgotten! | US actress Fran Drescher, and entertainers Donny and Marie Osmond added some showbiz glamour to the recent Paul Mitchell Future Professionals two-day educational event in Las Vegas. Joining the entertainers to inspire the 2,300 strong delegates list was motivational speaker Kathy Buckley and a range of educators, including the Paul Mitchell global cutting team, led by Angus Mitchell, Scott Cole, Takashi Kitamura and Robert Cromeans. |
