The most famous hairdresser in modem history is to be immortalised on film, with “Vidal Sassoon The Movie” premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival in Manhattan on 23 April. The movie is described by the makers as’a revealing portrait of one extraordinary man who changed the world with a pair of scissors’. The documentary spans 80 years of the great man’s life, tracing his path from a London orphanage to international success. Narrated by Michael Gordon, founder of haircare company, Bumble and bumble, the film documents how Vidal revolutionised the world of hair, pioneering geometric styles and changing the way women looked. Vidal is scheduled to attend the premier and participate in a question and answer session.
