TESTING, TESTING!

Alan d Hairdressing has launched a series of “tester week” courses, designed to help those currently in other careers decide whether hairdressing is for them. Prospective students pay £750 for a week and join the group’s induction classes. Included in the fee is basic equipment, including scissors, combs and brushes. Cutting techniques are taught from day two.

THE INCREDIBLY SUCCESSFUL ALTERNATIVE HAIR VISIONARY AWARD GOES INTERNATIONAL!!

Announcing the 2009 INTERNATIONAL VISIONARY AWARD

The VISIONARY AWARD is a special photographic competition that embraces artistic hairdressers and recognises their talent and vision. From all the entries received, finalists will be selected to appear in the International Visionary Award Presentation at the 2009 Alternative Hair Show at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, October 18th. Of the finalists, one winner will be then chosen to participate with their own show in 2010.
The selection process commences with the creation of 1 image and a 50 word description of the motivation and inspiration behind the image.

As the purpose of Alternative Hair is to raise funds for Leukaemia Research, an entry fee of £35 is payable. This will go directly to Leukaemia Research. (All entrants are therefore required to enclose a cheque payable to ‘Leukaemia Research’ together with their photograph.)

Please note that the closing date for entry is Monday 31st August.

Alternative Hair is a non-profit-organisation that every year fund-raises for Leukaemia Research. During the 27 years since its inception, Alternative Hair has raised in the region of £7 Million for Leukaemia Research.

Celebrate good times
