Husband and wife team Sean and Claire Dowson of hob salons recently wowed an International hairdressing audience at the first ever Hair Biz Forum on Australia’s Gold Coast.
The pair presented 12 models, demonstraiting an erray of cutting-edge techniques and the latest trends influenced by British street style from hob’s seasonal hair collection.

Nella splendida cornice dell’isola di Mauritius, LISAP ha organizzato un viaggio di approfondimento professionale, relax e divertimento per riprendersi da mesi di duro lavoro: dal 16 al 23 novembre 2008 circa 100 clienti hanno partecipato a questo esclusivo viaggio, presso il VILLAS CAROLINE VILLAGE.
Il villaggio è circondato da boschi verdeggianti e si affaccia su una delle spiagge più belle dell’Oceano Indiano, vicino ad una barriera corallina meravigliosa e ricca di fondali variopinti, ideale per gli amanti delle immersioni.
Durante il soggiorno i clienti hanno potuto decidere di rilassarsi in spiaggia o in piscina oppure di compiere escursioni via mare e via terra. La sera lo staff del villaggio ha intrattenuto gli ospiti con simpatia e spettacoli di animazione e danza locale.

Beverly C recently presented to a captivated audience of international hairdressers at the flagship branch of professional hair and beauty supplier, Eclipse in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. A party of 30 hairdressers was flown over for demonstrations, tips and expert styling advice using products from the Babyliss Pro range.
Guest were treated to Beverly’s expertise in areas including the advantages of razor-cutting over scissors, the art of blow-drying and stylist for the salon and photographic work.
“Guest were stunned by the amount of advice they picked up. Beverly gave priceless hints and tips”, said Paul Stevenson, managing director of Eclipse.

Habia has launched its National Health and Safety Awards, following the success of its regional health and safety award schemes.
The national awards, organized by Habia with support from the national Hairdressers’ Federation, the Health and Safety executive and local authorities, aim to reward those salons that have gone the extra mile, setting an exemple to others in the industry. Salons were asked to submit a portfolio of their salon and details of their health and safety initiatives, while local authorities had to submit a supporting statement explaning why the salon was nominated. Habia’s health and safety manager, Wendy Nixon, said: “one of the biggest issues affecting salons and spas today is health and safety. This national award will help to demonstrate that googd health and safety is good business practice.”
Entries will be judged in september with the winners announced during the weekend of Salon International.
