‘EMOTIONS’, In aid of Leukaemia Research
The 2008 Alternative Hair Show takes place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, on Sunday 19th October and is now in its 26th year, having raised over £7 million for Leukaemia Research to date.
This year, to celebrate his 80th birthday, Alternative Hair will pay homage to its International Patron, Vidal Sassoon and once again promises to be a visually exciting and entertaining evening that will celebrate hairdressing and the creativity that abounds globally within this profession. As in previous years, the show includes hairdressing teams from Europe, the USA and Japan, as well as from the UK, with 16 teams confirmed.
We will also be presenting the Visionary Award – a competition that invites British hairdressers to create an image inspired by the work of Vidal Sassoon, with the winner chosen from a shortlist of 10 finalists on the night.
We are again appealing to the generosity of the global hairdressing trade press and asking if you will agree to provide free advertising space and/or press coverage in exchange for 2 tickets at the show. Your support is vital in making the Alternative Hair Show a success year on year, and the money we have raised for Leukaemia Research has meant that 80% of children now survive the most common form of leukaemia. Together we’re dedicated to eradicating childhood leukaemia and with your help we’re confident that a 95% survival rate is possible in the near future.
