L’Oréal Professionnel’s Talentspotting, the competition for young platform artists, launches on 28 April 2008. There are two categories to enter – the Individual category and, new for 2008, the Junior Art Team category. This new award is aimed at recognizing young hairdressers in the UK and Ireland who thrive on working as part of a team. The Individual category is for hairdressers with a clear creative vision, and the ability to communicate this on stage. The first round is to come up with an original concept and create a mood board which clearly reflects the idea. Successful entrants will then have to recreate their concept on several models in front of a live audience at one of the Talentspotting semi finals.
