INTERCHARM professional, the main event for salon industry professionals, was conducted on April 17-19, 2008 in Moscow.

This year the unique combination of beauty fair with training events gathered 52`600 specialists: 41`000 attended the exhibition and 11`600 participated in related concurrent program. 355 exhibitors, including leading players from Germany, Korea, Hungary, Taiwan, Lithuania, Ukraine and Russia displayed a wide range of novelties in professional cosmetics, hairdressing and cosmetological equipment and services, furnishing and accessories for beauty establishments, spa-salon systems, solariums, aromatherapy, nail design, permanent make-up and tattoo products on 8`200sqm net area. Russian beauty salon industry grows by estimated 15% annually. In 2007 the market value was $5.7bln. Professional hair segment contributed $570 mln, while professional facial and body care reported $1.7 bln. Hair dressing services were estimated at $1.1 bln. Cosmetological services value accounted to $1.6bln.
