Núria Carmen Rodríguez’s Bachelor’s Final Project had its beginnings long before she could have imagined. During her final year, she had the opportunity to carry out her second internship at the El Blauet Municipal Nursery School, a space where she was able to develop a learning situation that allowed her to explore and express her artistic and creative side in designing pedagogical proposals.

At El Blauet, the educational approach was based on learning environments, with symbolic play as a central axis. During her stay, Núria worked in the Communication and “Playing Pretend” environments, which included spaces such as restaurant play and storytelling. Throughout her experience, she was able to observe in detail the behavior and preferences of the children in the group (I2), a large and diverse set of 34 infants. Among her most significant discoveries, she noticed that many of them showed a special interest in styling their own hair and that of their peers, looking at themselves in the mirror, and using hair accessories.

This finding was key to motivating her to develop her project, as she saw in these interactions an opportunity to design a learning space based on the hair salon. Inspired both by her observations of the children and her own family environment, she decided to delve into the relationship between children’s creativity and the art of hairdressing, seeking new ways to integrate these worlds into the educational field.

As hairdressers, we have the gift of making people feel good about their authentic selves, no matter their age, gender, race, or religion. We wanted to capture this gift. Our collection features images where everyone is heard and feels part of a wider story. Inspired by an inclusive A.P.C. campaign and the emotions it evoked with its powerful stories, we aimed to highlight the models’ personalities alongside their beautiful hair.

Fabrique Élémentaire is Lauren McCowan’s couture hair opus—a refined exploration of hair as the first true textile of self-expression. This collection positions hair not simply as adornment, but as fashion’s original medium: sculptural, sensual, and symbolic.

Each look is an intersection of art, identity, and technical mastery—where historic references meet modern construction, and theatrical form finds elegance in movement. With roots in punk, portraiture, tailoring, and surrealism, this body of work is deeply personal yet universally resonant.

Fabrique Élémentaire is where heritage meets future, and craftsmanship becomes couture.

My collection is called Chaos. It totally represents me as a hair artist and embodies everything I love about Hair and Fashion in this current creative climate.  I took my inspiration from international catwalks mixed with my creativity and pushed it even further. Two make up artists were engaged; one specialising in applying foundation and making the skin the perfect canvas,  the other one specialising in applying all the jewellery.  

My vision was to make a statement, but with hair and jewellery always complementing each other. I wanted Powerful and Directional looks. Of course, I want to showcase my skills, putting forward an array of cuts and colours in a progressive editorial styling framework. All the hair that you see in this collection is a nod to executing clever and practised hairstyles.

The background was kept to a minimum of clean, crisp and white to showcase the complex styling, hair and make up direction perfectly. Chaos is a lot to look at visually. It is a celebration of all things creative, high energy and high fashion. It really was a moment for me to create it.

The name Nubian is associated with individuals who exude grace, strength, and an unspoken resilience. Culturally, the name conjures images of regal beauty and deep-rooted heritage, allowing those who bear it to feel an inherent connection with their ancestry.
