The cosmetics market is constantly in need of new products and new paths of communication. The pressure to innovate is correspondingly great, the opportunities are many and the legal requirements mandatory. CosmeticBusiness, on 10 and 11 June in Munich, offers a rapid and comprehensive overview of the innovations of today’s suppliers, the trends of tomorrow and the relevant European legislation. The major trend towards digitalisation and its impact on the cosmetics industry and its suppliers will be examined from a variety of perspectives by the speakers in three specialist lectures on the Wednesday afternoon. In addition, international experts will be giving five lectures on the Wednesday and Thursday in which they will provide answers to questions such as:

  • What changes in legislation must we prepare for and how do we do it?
  • What are the major trends in the market?
  • What opportunities and niches exist outside the mainstream trends?

La pressione a innovare è conseguentemente grande, le opportunità sono tante e i requisiti di legge obbligatori. CosmeticBusiness, il 10 e 11 giugno a Monaco, offre una panoramica rapida e completa delle innovazioni dei fornitori di oggi, le tendenze di domani e la normativa europea in materia. RBC Race for the Kids is a 5k family fun run in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. The race will take place in Battersea Park on Sunday 7th June 2015 Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a superstar sprinter or prefer a leisurely stroll around the park. All ages and abilities are invited to join us for a day of family fun whilst raising vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital. All the money will go towards an exciting new project to find new treatments for childhood leukaemia.

As part of their ongoing campaign for mandatory state registration, the Hair Council were honoured to visit 10 Downing Street and meet with Prime Minister, Rt Hon. David Cameron MP, and his special adviser.This is the first time in 50 years that a Prime Minister has met with representatives from the Hair Council.

Sally Styles, CEO and Registrar said: “The Prime Minister was extremely interested to hear about our work, and progress towards mandatory registration. He clearly has a great deal of respect and admiration for the hair industry and we were honoured to meet him.” The delegation from the Hair Council included Shirley Davis-Fox MBE – Political Lobbyist and Political Ambassador Lino Carbosiero MBE, who is Mr Cameron’s hairdresser. The delegation met with Daniel Korski, Special Adviser to David Cameron on Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. The Hair Council explained the logic behind state registration and outlined the significant achievements of the Council over the last year, which have included full costings and plans as to how registration will work in practice, and regular communications to members. Lynda Whitehorn SRH, Chair of the Hair Council said: “Over the last year, we have made significant strides in the drive towards state registration. Our meetings in Downing Street show just how far we have come. However, we know that there is a long journey ahead and we will continue to work hard to achieve the professional status that the UK’s hairdressers deserve through mandatory state registration.”
