Inspired by the natural backgrounds and environments his work is exhibited in, Allilon Education Colour Director, Madeleine Murphy, created palettes of light violets, pinks, lilacs, turquoise and blues, which have been beautifully offset by inky indigos, deep violets, whites and deep brunettes, as seen in the sunsets and sunrises that often form the backdrop to JR’s work. Coppers, brick reds, muddy browns and earthy tones have been used at the roots of the hair, inspired by the dust, brick and buildings his work is often showcased on.

L’accordo è stato siglato per espandere la presenza di L’Oréal nel mondo dell’acconciatura, in particolare negli Stati Uniti, dove è già apresente attraverso la propria divisione commerciale SalonCentric, ma con la nuova acquisizione amplierà ulteriormente la rete con oltre 3.500 parrucchieri in diverse aree americane.

The research for this collection started with the work of two Dutch artists from the late Medieval period: the avant-garde painter Hieronymus Bosch and his closest follower Peter Brueghel. Both artists featured detailed illustrations of moral and religious concepts, although Brueghel’s most famous works depict “the common man” at work. This gritty content was conceptually ground-breaking as it moved away from the classic portraiture of the time. One aspect we focused closely on for our new collection were the earthy tones seen in these paintings where they depicted hard work in harsh conditions; a blacksmith’s forge influenced burnt out hairlines and burnished tones, and the lighting that hits the hair in Bosch’s and Brueghel’s portraits inspired the creative techniques shown in this collection.

“Junya” nace de la admiración que siento por Junya Watanabe y sus creaciones. Concretamente la colección de Junya Watanabe: origami (papiroflexia en japonés) y a la que se refirió posteriormente como panel (honeycomb). He intentado emular con el cabello ese tratamiento diferente que Mr. Watanabe imprime a los tejidos. Un toque minimalista pero a la vez sofisticado propio de la cultura japonesa.
