“Stripping away all excessive accessories, minimalism highlights the beauty of hair movement. Hair is incredibly dramatic and expressive through its dynamic motion.”

ASH is a collection inspired by gray hair as the protagonist, but we have also combined the white and the black. Long gray coloring has invaded the manes of some singers, actresses, it girls and it has enchanted designers. #GrannyHairbyFelicitas

I believe that the best results can only be achieved if the hair styles are created by serendipity; without any prior planning. Each step formulates in my mind only once the previous phase has been completed; in a way I feel that as if it wasn’t me who created the final style – I only let it to happen through me. This, as always, has been one of most important aspects of my current work. In this particular series, the backgrounds in these pictures also play an important role. Fracture collection: Breaks in colours – shapes – mood. As always, I have not used any artificial parts or hair for these styles.

Inspiration for this collection came from the beautiful birds of paradise. We wanted to work with copper tones and incorporation birds of paradise shapes, shine and feathers into the hair.

Revelation 18:24 presents a sequence of warrior women, who are gritty and raw in their appearance, as opposed to pretty and romantic. It’s dark and cryptic, capturing the true essence of a femme fatale perhaps at the end of time. The hair reflects these female fighters and their ‘changeable nature’; texture alternates from being coarse and rough to sleek and strong, enhanced by definite lines, disconnections, shapes and beautiful, hidden intricacies. We see the re-emergence of the fringe; severe in it’s appearance but creating a statement of strength. Variations on braids, topknots and wet to dry techniques show diversity and wearability, and maintain individuality. Using the medium of hair, an element of grunge and colour combine to create a raw and modern approach. Texture is enhanced by specific colour techniques of ombre and block colour, while the overall black and white photo treatment, presents a strength and coolness worthy of an apocalyptic Mad Max warrior.
