Inspiration for this collection came from the beautiful birds of paradise. We wanted to work with copper tones and incorporation birds of paradise shapes, shine and feathers into the hair.

Revelation 18:24 presents a sequence of warrior women, who are gritty and raw in their appearance, as opposed to pretty and romantic. It’s dark and cryptic, capturing the true essence of a femme fatale perhaps at the end of time. The hair reflects these female fighters and their ‘changeable nature’; texture alternates from being coarse and rough to sleek and strong, enhanced by definite lines, disconnections, shapes and beautiful, hidden intricacies. We see the re-emergence of the fringe; severe in it’s appearance but creating a statement of strength. Variations on braids, topknots and wet to dry techniques show diversity and wearability, and maintain individuality. Using the medium of hair, an element of grunge and colour combine to create a raw and modern approach. Texture is enhanced by specific colour techniques of ombre and block colour, while the overall black and white photo treatment, presents a strength and coolness worthy of an apocalyptic Mad Max warrior.

The CONTRAST Collection of Intercoiffure Mondial is hair fashion inspiration that approaches cut and color in a new light and that designs out of the ordinary creations. White coolness is filled with sensual poetic pastel tones: the White Space stylings are looks with solid romance. The Intercoiffure Artistic Team creates magic Hair Fashion. It’s about new proportions, harmonies and aesthetics. Express yourself! Show yourself! Strong and fierce and at the same time delicate and enchanting. Metallic Brown mixes dark shades with glamorous shimmers and plays with smooth creped structures. Strong women combine red tones for the Mono Contrast styles. Sometimes it is an expressive, laid-back Tomboy violet cut, sometimes an ultra feminine long hair mane in fiery copper. CONTRAST- a hair fashion world of opposites.

“My inspiration came from the Punk Skinhead Rocker fashion period, updated with more feminine & glamor but still keeping an edgy rebellious feel to it through geometric shapes, abstract lines and some bold colors making this glamorous feminine rebellious look”.
