Carlos Valiente @ Salón Carlos ValienteCarlos Valiente @ Salón Carlos ValienteCarlos Valiente @ Salón Carlos Valiente

It is a collection created in a same model and with the same haircut showing how can a woman’s look change going through three very different facets together with styling, make-up and hairdressing. I wanted to show the more tender, commercial and feminine side of the woman, the editorial side with more lust inspiring me with the capital sins and the fantasy and power of women in their more vanguard’s side.

Nice, funny, charming, beautiful…The perfect definition for the collection and the image it reflects. Inspired in urban tendencies, the way you colour the day by day; bold but commercial looks at the same time. Actual haircuts and styles with different colors. Everyone can feel identified with the crazy purple curls, the transgressive cupper, green or pink pastel colours combined with the romantic waves. Looking forward to work with colour and fashion to fuse them and the result is: Lovely!

The internationally acclaimed Allilon Education Art Team has launched Reverie – a beautiful and dynamic colour collection inspired by the animal portraits of artist, Emily Tan. Known for creating organic abstractions that create patterns in a non-representational way, Tan inspired the team to create an expressive colour collection. Boasting dramatic shapes with colour that was literally thrown onto the hair in the style of the artist’s work, the collection has a dreamlike, ethereal quality. Colour Director Madeleine Murphy played a major role in developing this collection, and using inspiration from Emily’s individual portraits, created colour palettes that would turn her work into real life by using hair as a canvas; the textures, colours, and techniques used to layer colour upon colour. Using true to life tones with a mix of brighter shades, colour is almost unnoticeable until up close.

In a time when the gentlemen dominated the Middle Ages, helmets, coats of mail, castles and swords, long hair, beards and the crow … black, here and there. The Crow is the gateway between two worlds, the Crow is the image of the real in the unreal, accompanies the gentleman walking with him between times … times of Gentlemen Crow.

Androgyne; when boys and girls blend sartorial codes a decadent disruption takes place. The collection from Sassoon Academy, plays with gender and identity across eras and geographies with a series of presentations inspired by the cool riads and cabarets of 1930s Morocco, the street urchins and guttersnipes of Victorian London and the compelling figure of the fallen angel set to rise again in the new age of post recession spirituality.
