After bidding from several prominent global beauty and hair care companies, Vogue will be sold to Johnson & Johnson for just over $3bn in cash, according to an announcement that company made late last week. The move puts J&J in a better position to compete in the hair care category. “Our Acquisition of Vogue International’s full line of leading advanced hair care products sold in the U.S. and in 38 countries will strenghthen our global presence in this important category”, affirms Jorge Mesquita, worldwide chairman, consumer at Johnson & Johnson, in the company’s media release about the deal.

LAFLEY, chairman of P&G, the multinational consumer goods company, is leaving the post.

His successor (current CEO David Taylor) will take over soon. The first time Lafley stepped down in 2009 and his successor was Bob Mc Donald, than he returned as chairman in 2013. He started working with P&G in 1977, covering many roles and in 1999 became president for Global Beauty Care and North America. He ‘ll be long remembered for streamlining the P&G portfolio down to just 65 brands.

Blue Tit, the award-winning six-strong salon group in London, has revealed its latest colouring technique for Spring/Summer 2016: SunBun.

Created by Harriet Muldoon, Head Colourist and Technical Educator at Blue Tit Salons and Academy, the technique, inspired by the 90s, was developed in response to the growing trend for multiple colours and allows a variety of spontaneous hues to be created with a stunning marbled, tie-dye effect.

Perfect on locks that have been pre-lightened, bleached or have a high-lift tint, hair is sectioned into segments, before small top-knots are created across the head, before being gently backcombed: the more top knots, the more colour. Perfect for more extreme colour aficionados, the SunBun technique truly comes to life with contrasting tones placed next to one another, resulting in a bold, 3D effect of show-stopping colour.

La riunione nazionale ANAM (associazione nazionale acconciatori misti) dello scorso aprile è stata anche l’occasione per una approfondita conoscenza dei prodotti del famoso produttore italiano di phon PARLUX e del suo phon novità 2016!

Nei locali della sede ANAM (Associazione Nazionale Acconciatori Misti), durante il meeting nazionale dedicato ai direttori delle scuole di formazione affiliate, si sono svolte due giornate speciali di aggiornamento professionale e confronto tra colleghi, coadiuvate dallo stilista Toni Pellegrino, spesso ospite della trasmissione televisiva “Detto, fatto” in onda ogni giorno su RAI2.

ANAM teachers love the very new PARLUX dryer

During their last April National meeting, they had the opportunity of knowing better Parlux and their products as well as their brand new dryer, novelty Parlux product 2016!

In Modena, a National meeting devoted to the managers of ANAM schools, was held last April 17th 18th. Two special professional updating days where different colleagues coming from different Italian regions could meet and exchange opinions with the help of the famous hairstylist Toni Pellegrino, reference stylist of the TV program “Detto, fatto” broadcasting every day on RAI2.

This event was for PARLUX, also the occasion to be better presented as quality hairdressing tool producer and reference brand for the most demanding hairdresser and let the trainers know better their latest model, the Parlux ADVANCE® dryer.

Jonathan Andrew, celebrity stylist and Artistic Director at Jamie Stevens, has been announced as the winner of not just one but two awards in the Hair Magazine Awards 2016.  Jonathan scooped the top prize for ‘Best Men’s Hairdresser’ and he blow away the competition to secure the title of ‘I Want That Hair (Men)’.

Best Men’s Hairdresser of the Year (Hair Awards 2016) and Artistic Director at Jamie Stevens, Jonathan Andrews recently welcomed Adam Lambert into the salon for a cut whilst he’s in London on his Original High tour.
