| This year, Figaro´s Awards 2012, Spanish Hairdressing Awards, will also have a strong international character of the hand of the five juries. The most quoted figures of the hairdressers worldwide will be the jury in the final in the show of delivery of the Figaro´s Awards that will be celebrated next September. |

| It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vidal Sassoon CBE, who died at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by loved ones. The 84 year old hairdresser was born in 1928 and sadly lost his battle with leukaemia today. He became the most celebrated hairdresser in the world having begun his career as an apprentice during the Second World war going on to revolutionise an industry through his iconic haircuts, salons, schools and product lines. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 20 years Ronnie, his children, grandchildren, family and friends. |

| Si è spento ieri, 9 maggio, a Los Angeles, circondato sai suoi cari VIDAL SASSOON. L’84enne guru dell’Hairstyle, nato nel 1928, ha perso la sua battaglia contro la Leucemia. È diventato il parrucchiere più famoso del mondo cominciando la sua carriera come apprendista durante la seconda guerra mondiale, rivoluzionando il mondo dell’hairdressing con i suoi tagli geometrici, i suoi Saloni, Accademie e linee di prodotti. Lascia a piangerlo sua moglie Ronnie, figlio, nipote, famiglia e amici. |

| "I had known Vidal Sassoon for many years and he has been a life-long inspiration on my work. With his vision and energy, he is the man who changed the face of hairdressing forever. As a person he had an incredible gentleness and a generosity of spirit that was very special. We were very honoured when Vidal agreed to become Worldwide Patron of Alternative Hair, a position that he took very seriously. He was an incredible support and his influence and inspiration will continue. It is very poignant that Vidal passed away on the same day as my son Valentino, having both suffered from Leukaemia. And, it is perhaps both special and ironic that we have named our 30th anniversary show, "Legends". Vidal’s influence and presence will remain with us forever, and we will honour him as a friend and a hairdresser."

| Conoscevo Vidal Sassoon da molti anni ed ha sempre ispirato il mio lavoro. Con la sua visione della vita e la sua energia egli è l’uomo che ha cambiato il volto dell’hairdressing per sempre. Come persona era dotato di incredibile gentilezza e generosità d’animo. Fummo profondamente onorati quando Vidal accettò di diventare patrono mondiale dell’Alternative Hair, ruolo che prese molto seriamente. Egli fu di enorme supporto e la sua influenza e ispirazione continueranno. È molto commovente che Vidal sia venuto a mancare lo stesso giorno di mio figlio Valentino, avendo entrambi sofferto di Leucemia. Ed è sia speciale che ironico che quest’anno il trentesimo anniversario dello Show (Alternative Hair Show – ndr) si chiami “Leggende”. L’influenza e la presenza di Vidal saranno con noi per sempre e lo ricorderemo come amico e come parrucchiere. |

| Grande successo per la riunione nazionale svoltasi nei giorni 29 e 30 aprile 2012. La domenica si è aperta con un seminario studiato ad hoc per tutta la forza vendite: grande interesse per questo importante momento formativo, perché sono stati affrontati argomenti tecnico-motivazionli quali la comunicazione, la gestione e successivo mantenimento dei rapporti interpersonali e le fondamentali doti da sviluppare per coinvolgere gli interlocutori. A fine giornata è stata organizzata una cena di gala per festeggiare i 60 anni di LISAP, seguita da un divertente momento di festa con il taglio della torta e musica fino a notte inoltrata. Il giorno successivo è stato dedicato al lancio di tre novità prodotto: sei nuove nuances di LK FRUIT, la colorazione professionale a base di oli di frutta, due mousse della linea LISAP FASHION e lo SPRAY LISAP ULTIMATE HOME per capelli lisci più a lungo nel tempo! Tutto quanto è stato accolto con grande entusiasmo dalla forza vendita! |

| Headquarters Hair Salon held its first ever in-house photographic competition to help prepare team members for entering industry competitions. Each stylist was paired with a jiunior and given the brief of creating an image inspired by the Autumn/Winter 2012 catwalks with skilfully-executed colour and a forward-thinking cut and finish. The final looks were photographed and then judged by a panel of the industry’s top names, including Errol Douglas, Richard Ward and HJ’s debuty editor Ruth Hunsley. |
