Tony Rizzo announces special tribute to Vidal Sassoon at the Alternative Hair show Legends 2012. Following the sad loss of Vidal Sassoon CBE, Worldwide Honorary Patron of Alternative Hair Show, the legend of hairdressing, there will be a special tribute presentation with some of the biggest names in hairdressing to honour Vidal Sassoon during the 30th anniversary Alternative Hair Show LEGENDS. KEMON invita al Congresso Internazionale FREESTYLE CLUB, a Montecarlo, dal 10 al 12 giugno 2012. Il programma del congresso si articola in tre giorni: domenica 10 giugno gli ospiti verranno accolti in hotel per poi assistere alle 18:30 allo show con le anticipazioni moda autunno – inverno 2012-2013, la serata di concluderà piacevolmente al Casinò. Lunedì la mattinata vedrà il susseguirsi di tre seminari di approfondimento moda, quindi il pomeriggio sarà libero, a disposizione per la visita alla splendida città di Montecarlo. In serata "Dinner Party" presso lo Zelo’s Club. Martedì rientro in Italia.

Cirque Du Soleil was the theme for Essex-based Uppercut Hair Group’s annual competition, which saw 20 apprentices from their six salons aiming to create the best overall hair and make-up look. Managers from each of the salons judged the competition, with the winner, created by Stephanie Burrow, entitled “Cirque du Frog”. Runners up were Nicole Cox and Alex Manning.

Domenica 13 maggio 2012: a Milano si è tenuto uno degli eventi più glamour e attesi del mondo dell’hairstyle: il TSL (Tredn Style Live) di L’Oréal Professionel. L’incontro con l’Azienda è iniziato con gli interventi di alcuni relatori di spicco, ognuno dei quali ha fatto il punto della situazione visto dalla prospettiva formativa, (Pietro Falconi), economica (Francesco Vallone), marketing (Coline Herné) e moda (Mariagrazia Longhi). A seguire le sfilate e le pedane degli ambasciatori stilisti L’Oréal Professionnel, ad interpretare i quattro moods che davano corpo alla giornata: Urban Jungle, Soft Memory, Oltre e Holiday. Ha chiuso la kermesse l’atteso ospite internazionale: Bertram K (Austria), anche lui portatore di stile e novità su una pedana destinata, per attualità e gusto, ad imporsi in ogni salone.

"I am extremely proud today, to have worked at Vidal Sassoons salons and schools from 1964 until 1977 what I would call the golden years of haircutting. I started as a junior in Bond street salon and after 3 years training under Christopher Brooker I moved to the Sloan street salon I was fortunate that at 19 years old in 1967, I went on to teach at the FIRST Vidal Sassoon school in Knightsbridge and a few years later we all moved to the Davies Muse school, later I went on to be the first Director of the first ACADEMY. I got to teach over ten thousand hairdressers in that time. Including some of the most famous hairdressers in the world today. The list is long… I moved and made my home in Rome, Italy, and tried to take the Sassoons theories and techniques to the Italians. I have been teaching what I learnt, for the last thirty years. Its been a tough battle here in Italy with women very different from their counterparts in Great Britain but I have seen women in Italy get more authority and autonomy and men are starting to give women more respect, a far cry from the 1980s when I first came. With the next generation I think their is a change in the air. Well I hope so for every ones sake. Thank you VIDAL SASSOON".

"Sono molto orgoglioso oggi di aver lavorato nei saloni e nelle accademie Vidal Sassoon dal 1964 al 1977, gli anni d’oro dell’haircutting. Ho cominciato come apprendista nel salone di Bond Street e dopo tre anni di formazione con Christopher Brooker, misono spostato a Sloan Street. Le difficoltà del mercato stanno facendo emergere chiaramente i lati meno professionali delle persone. La debolezza caratteriale e la mancanza di etica rende, per statistica, molto nervose e reattive le persone che si trovano in difficoltà (economiche e di mercato). In sostanza diventano "maleducate" e non fanno che rendere ancor più evidente il loro stato di negatività. Controlliamoci, pensiamo un po’ di più e riflettiamo!
