| LES COIFFEURS, ACTEURS DE LA PRÉVENTION, UNE MISSION |
En 2001, au cours d’un voyage offi ciel en Afrique du Sud, Lady Owen-Jones, Ambassadrice de bonne volonté à l’UNESCO, sensibilise le Groupe L’Oréal aux conséquences de la propagation du Sida, sur la population locale. L’UNESCO, Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’Education, la Science et la Culture, qui regroupe 191 pays dans le monde, a demandé aux « Métiers » de s’engager à leurs côtés pour appuyer les actions de Prévention des gouvernements et des associations.
L’OREAL Fondation d’Entreprise a toujours eu cette volonté d’agir dans les domaines de la prévention, de la santé et de la sécurité, en 2005 un accord est signé entre ces deux institutions afi n de proposer un Programme de Prévention soutenus par les coiffeurs dans le monde. COIFFEURS CONTRE LE SIDA, a pour objet de donner des informations fi ables et utiles sur la maladie du
VIH/SIDA qui concerne les hommes, les femmes et les enfants sur tous les continents. La Prévention contre le Sida repose sur l’engagement et la coordination. Les coiffeurs forment une importante communauté dont les relations sociales avec leur clientèle sont un moyen effi cace de relayer l’information contre le Sida. Ce programme mondial de Prévention, unique en son genre, a pour objectif de sensibiliser une vaste population, en introduisant dans les stages de perfectionnement des coiffeurs, des séquences pédagogiques sur la prévention du VIH/SIDA. Une fois formés, les coiffeurs jouent un rôle fondamental de sensibilisation
et d’éducation. Ils contribuent en chaine à cette lutte incessante contre le Sida.
