On September 3rd, the Alternative Hair Charitable Foundation – Fighting Leukaemia treated 19 children suffering from Leukaemia and their families to an exciting day at Paradise Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire, UK.
During a day of fun and wonder, children and their families who had been nominated by the Royal Marsden Hospital and Bloodwise, took a colourful journey, experiencing bird shows, The Big Cat Feed, the Jungle Antics Show and finishing off with a fabulous tea party, where the children got hands-on with balloon modelling.
Great memories were created and experiences shared, among families all battling with Leukaemia and the effects of their treatment. Tony Rizzo – founder of Alternative Hair said “It was such a special day, seeing children having fun and spending time with their families, I hope we can do more events like this..”
The Alternative Hair Charitable Foundation has worked tirelessly for thirty four years raising funds, mainly from the generous hairdressing industry. Every year, donations support invaluable research into curing Leukaemia and also help to support families suffering the effects of dealing with this ruthless illness.
